Quarantine (2008)
Watched Quarantine (2008) the other night, and it was pretty good. While technically not a living dead "Zombie" movie, and more of a 28 days later "Rage" zombie deal, the "zombies" were very well done. The make-up and effects were very good, the violence in the movie was a 9 out of 10, and there were parts that were actually scary, which doesn't happen with too many zombie movies anymore. The movie starts Jennifer Carpenter (Exorcism of Emily Rose) as a news reporter assigned to shadow a team of firemen for a night. The very first place they go to that night turns into a complete cluster fuck, and the fun begins..
For a true Zombie connoisseur, there are an abundance of early signs that could have been handled differently, I watched the movie with my wife and a friend of hers, and I pretty much called every instance of how things should have gone differently, or people who should have been put out of thier misery way ahead of thier "transformation", but if the movie was about me, heading off the cluster fuck at every turn, and getting out just fine, it wouldn't have been a very entertaining movie for the masses.
I thought the ending of the movie, just before the very end was really good, the reveal wasn't something I saw coming, but the very end of the movie was.. well.. feh.
Other than the last 5 minutes of the movie, and some of the predictability for people whom know how to deal with zombies, it was very entertaining, and will join my movie collection in the near future.

Zombie Diaries (2006)
Watched the "Zombie Diaries" (2006) the other day, and I gotta say, it was better than I thought it would be. It's an English zombie flick filmed in pseudo documentary style... it starts out intending to be a documentary, but drifts in and out of it throughout the movie, some parts leave you questioning why anyone would be filming during what's going on, or how they were filming from the angle/s that they were, but I guess some parts of it were better served jumping out of the documentary to show you what was going on. I liked how they broke it into chapters, and tied them all up in the end. The zombies were well done, there were more good parts than bad, and the ending I thought was really good.
In terms of Zombie movies I've watched, this was a solid 6 out of 10. Def. worth a rental if you are a zombie movie fan...

Stay away from the film's Wikepedia entry, contains spoilers..
